I wasn’t really planning this, but at the same time I did say last year that I wanted to start my blog challenges back up again. Maybe revive my October Power Hour this year. Don’t worry I know it’s not October yet LOL. However I did find a challenge for January, though technically it’s a bullet journal thing. I’ll link it below in case anyone wants to follow along and do it themselves because as always Pinterest is my inspiration! God, I love Pinterest. Don’t worry my regularly scheduled writing will still be happening too! Also Happy New Year!
As I was saying, a lovely little challenge because sometimes you just have to get back to the basics, you know? Plus it’s fun. I might alternate and do every other month or something like that, I don’t really know yet we’ll see how it all plays out. But seeing as I’m doing this five days late, not really because there wasn’t any plans I’m just saying that because it has 31 days. I’m going to do five in one for today! Yay, sounds fun right? I’m not being sarcastic I’m actually really excited. Okay, let’s get started!
Day one: What was a highlight from last year?
I would have to say learning to do my make-up. It’s the simple things. Like there were so many ups and downs of last year and I have quite a few things that come to mind especially meeting a special someone. But like I really loved nailing my eyeliner and finding my spark even on the bad days. There was something truly magical about reviving the part of me, I thought was dead and gone.
Day two: What are you looking forward to this year?
I’m for sure looking forward to making more memories with everyone I love. I can’t wait to fill a scrapbook with everything that’s important, take some skating classes, try some new food, go for long drives and catch a sunset or two? Maybe even a concert or two? Who knows. I’ve got a whole list of things I’m looking forward to, but the memories and living my life are the biggest things. I can’t wait to live, breathe it in.
Day three: Describe the view from where you’re sitting.
Well, I’m sitting on my bed in my bedroom (duh) with my laptop in front of me as I type this. My dog (Rocky) is laying in his blankets at the foot of my bed on the right hand side? And that’s all your getting because it’s weird to tell you how my room is set up, but I will tell you that I have stuffed animals galor all over my room. They’re my friends. Also I love my Taylor Swift calendar, and I for some reason have two calenders one on each side of the room? Well, I actually have the one that gets written on for appointments and things and the decoration one, AKA Taylor’s. But yeah… I did clean my room last night. I was proud of that.
Day four: What are you holding onto that you need to let go of?
Oh that’s a deep one. I’ll answer with the most simple answer mostly because I don’t want to open that can of worms right now. I plan to, just not until I’m back in therapy. Anger. I hold onto a lot of anger. It’s easier. Being pissed off is easier than feeling the feelings that are beneath it. I know that it isn’t the safest or healthiest but it’s my way out right now.
Day five (AKA today): What is your idea of the perfect morning?
Getting up at an unspecified time, to let Rocky out. Watching some Bob’s Burgers, eating some breakfast, drinking my choice beverage and then getting started on my day. So, this morning? I’m honestly not much of a morning person but I quite enjoy when I can get started on my day without too much gripe from my body.
If you made it to the end let me know if you’ll be doing this journaling with us? Or just say happy new year? Anyway, I will see you all again tomorrow for day six.
I hope you have a good night ❤
