Prompt: what does love look like to you?

What an amazing question. Immediately I want to quote the fruits of the spirit haha tell me you grew up in church without telling me. That’s not fully what love looks like to me. Yes love is patient and love is kind all that crap. But love is dancing in the moonlight and singing your favorite songs together. Love is showing up on the worst days and being there for the fall out. Love is stern. Love looks like taking your keys if you had too much to drink and shouldn’t be driving. Love is sitting in the waiting room of the next specialist and assuring you that no matter what answers or questions come up next – it’ll be okay.

Love looks different for everyone, but love is compassionate. It’s hearing your partner out. Love is autopilot on some days, but the biggest thing is that love is being seen. Being heard. Equality. If love isn’t equal then what is it?

That’s what love looks like to me. Balance. Equality and a home. Built solid.
