Hello my darling’s welcome back to another Stormy Night (or day) or if you’re new here welcome, I’m Hailstorm aka Queen Stormy ;)) Today we’re going to be talking about a post that I’ve already done but it’s time to update it (cha cha cha) as you can tell by the title it is the post from 2021-Top ten travel destinations. Well I have to update it because it’s been two years! I’ve been places and have some new places I want to go. Grab your passports!
1. Coming in at BACK in its rightful place at number One is Canada.
Side note I think I finally figured out where my obsession with Canada came from. All the shows I thrived off as a child were “based” in Canada. And before you ask, no. I don’t have a particular spot in Canada I want to go to I just want to go to Canada. The place captivates me,
2. New Orleans, Louisiana
I have to be real with you guys here, this place captivates me sometimes even more so than Canada. It has the magnetic draw on me and its like I’m being pulled there sometimes but at the same time I feel that way about a lot of places… but New Orleans? That… its different I can’t explain it.
3. Casper, Wyoming
I have to admit this one is probably controversial but… Jeffree Starr opens a retail location selling all of his products make up to Starr Ranch products. That and I have to be honest just the name “Casper” sounds so enticing.
4. Salem… All 36 of them but most importantly Salem Oregon and Salem Massachusetts
Salem fascinates me the two specific ones because of their history and the others just because of the name honestly. (Yes, I know I want to go to places for dumb reasons).
5. Hawaii
Who doesn’t want to visit? Dude the culture and the lore and history! All of it I want to know more!
6. Alaska
Alaska is honestly… it’d be one heck of an adventure. But again with the history and the culture and just the over all way of life. It intrigues me, oh that and the northern lights!
7. Austin, Texas
Possibly the dumbest reason on this list to be real. I want to go to Austin long enough to listen to a song called Austin Alone by Billy Burke. That’s it. That’s my reason.
8. London, England
Curiosity gets the better of me here I want to know what all the hype is about? I mean yes, the accents but I’m talking about the city life part.
9. Ashville, North Carolina
Truthfully this just looks so aesthetically pleasing to me.
10. Branson, Missouri
The Titanic Museum… this has fascinated me for a while. To be honest I did have to look up where it was at again because it’s been a bit but yes, I’d love to go see it.
Bonus locations I would ONE MILLION PERCENT GO BACK TO!
- Maine
I love Maine is so beautiful and my trip there in 2020 was like a puzzle piece. I so badly cannot wait to go back and explore some more!
- Point Pleasant, WV
In 2021 when my brother, soon to be sister-in-law and I went to visit our grandparents for thanksgiving we went to Point Pleasant, and I got loads of Moth Man merch. I also took a selfie with the Moth Man Statue.
I hope you all enjoyed this post and if you want to see how much it changed here’s the link (insert link). Comment your top travel destination below my darlings! Until next time!

Back to the present day. I must say for one I am very sorry that any of you ever had to read my older writings. I’ve honestly done so much facepalming, I can see how cringey and well…dumb some of my style was and honestly it still can be. But reading some of the older stuff it feels so insufferable? Maybe it’s because it’s me reading my own writing, but still I figured it was worth noting and apologizing for. Especially to those who have been around for that long. I guess that’s where I can really see how much I’ve grown and changed as not only a writer but a person too.
I stand by Casper being controversial for its reasoning of existing on the list, and I rescind the statement of wanting to go there for that reason. However, Wyoming is a rather beautiful location and I’ve looked at some of the national parks there for both the book and places to add to the bucket list. This goes back to that growing up thing.
As I’m writing this I realize that most of the places in the list. Canada, England, Austin, Alaska, Hawaii, and Salem are the same from my first list. Things never really changed? I added a few and added my bonus of Maine and Point Pleasant for places I would undoubtedly go back to. I don’t necessarily disagree with the list. I’m just pointing it out I suppose. As it is a two year gap, before I posted this part I believe. Anywho, I love that the majority of why I pick places has to do with history or random reasons that make no sense.
I hope you all enjoyed another dive into the archives with me. I can’t wait to add a third part to this series and share with you all my next great idea that I have. Don’t forget to like and follow for more if that’s something you might want, as well as check out my socials for posts on Sunday’s and Wednesday’s. I will see you all in the next post!
Until next time, as always, stay safe, love hard, and protect your peace ❤
