A proper introduction to my pets :)

Hello and welcome back to another stormy night in the shire, it’s nice to see you back again. Or nice to meet you if you’re new. I will admit that I went back and forth on what I wanted today’s post to be seeing as I had kind of messed up and posted an archive post mid week when I’m slowly getting a rhythm of what posts go on what days. Slowly. But it’s all a puzzle much like a rubrics cube which I was never good at solving those yet… somehow it’s slowly coming together. Anyway, I figured I would give a proper introduction to my lovely pets. I won’t be introducing the ones who crossed the rainbow bridge in this post, I’ll make a separate post for them. But it’s a nice change of pace plus, who doesn’t love a cute photo of a dog? Or cat? Haha. I love my pets.

Okay let’s jump in.

Starting with my oldest. Jazzy. He’s an October baby and this year he’ll be fifteen. He’s a bit of a grumpy boy and quite rude sometimes. But he’s my black and white panther. He loves lounging around and when he’s not lounging he’s being a fridge troll. He does occasionally still go on a hunt, though it’s not as often as when he was young. Jaz has never really been a fan of K9’s but he makes it work, he just judges them the whole time.

Next up we have Skitzerlynn. An Aries and she’s ten as of the beginning of this month. While she’s more of an antisocial butterfly, she does enjoy spending time with our neighbors “tiger cat”. She also enjoys keeping her sister in line and hunting with her. While not a huge fan of her K9 brother she does roll in the dirt with him as a bonding activity. It’s cute. She loves bear hugs and demanding attention when she wants it. Though she never really sleeps in the house unless it’s storming, too cold or too hot. Which is yet another way that I was taught lessons by a feline and another reason why cats are the best in my eyes. That and every cat I’ve ever had picked me, not the other way around. Skitz especially.

Third we have Molly. Her full name, (you can tell I named this one) Molly Joe Persus Jackson (insert my last name). Yes, she responds to the whole name. Yes, she believes she’s a demigod. Yes, she was named after the Percy Jackson series. She has thumbs, she has one of the biggest personalities. She’s beautiful, like the others, though she’s more exotic in the sense of she’s a calico. My only calico. My only cat that wasn’t a tuxedo or black. With planetary eyes and a February baby. She just turned eight. She’s a huntress and she’s kind, she loves the dogs though, she’d appreciate it more if Rocky were more understanding of his size.

Finally we have the baby of the pack, though he’s the biggest one. Roscoe (Rocky) River. Roscoe the name was given to him by my brother who was meant to be his original owner, though he ended up being my dog. It was funny because Rocky’s sister was meant to be mine but preferred my brother. They swapped. But Rocky, turned into his nickname/name, because every time he rammed his head into me it felt like I got hit by a ton of bricks and a rock was being dropped on me. My brother named him after the Sheriff on Dukes of Hazzard. Both fit him perfectly and I always added the River part because it fit well with Rocky, plus he loved water, playing in it anyway. And he’s another October baby. Though we got him in November. He’s going to be seven this year. He loves his stuffed animals and his dental treats. He sleeps like a king with a heated blanket because he gets too cold. And he really REALLY loves his siblings but he’s a bit too pushy and we have to remind him that they don’t like that. But overall? Rocky’s a good guy. Very much antisocial and very anxiety ridden but he’s a baby. We love him. He’s for sure the mascot for Stormy Ville.

I hope you all enjoyed this post! I love my pets, they really are my babies. They mean everything to me and if you follow my socials you really know that Rocky truly is our mascot! I joke about preferring cats to dogs but to be honest, my life is nothing without a big dog. I love scary dog privileges. If you know you know. But comment below your pets names! See if we have the same names, because my uncle got a frenchie recently and he named it Roscoe! I won’t lie it made me giggle but my uncle is happy and “Pebble” as I have so kindly dubbed the little Roscoe is adorable. I only nicknamed him because my grandmother is dogsitting while my uncle works. But I’ll catch you on the flip side ❤

XOXO Hails
